Lead QA Tester

MAPLEWOOD, MN

12+ Months Contract

Basic Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

•    Minimum 3 years of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Testing and/or Validation experience

•    At this time only BT and IT Internal Applicants will be given consideration

Preferred Qualifications:

•    3+ year experience creating and maintaining a Quality and/or Test Plan

•    3+ year experience planning, coordinating and leading application testing

•    2+ year combined experience work with a global implementation project and/or with SAP, Salesforce.com, or Workday software

•    Experience working with or leading off-shore testing resources

•    Experience working in a regulated environment (SOX, FDA, etc) subject to compliance controls

•    1+ year experience working with Quality Test Tools – HP Quality Center (ALM), ReqPro, ClearQuest, ClearCase, RQM

•    Strong Organizational and communication skills, proven track record of  strong project coordination/management success

•    Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs

•    Strong skills in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

•    Plan and lead testing activities including: Resource Planning, Test Development, Test Execution, Test Review, Defect Triage and Test Reporting

•    Lead test phases including: Unit Testing, Functional Testing, String Testing, Performance Testing, Product Integrated Testing and User Acceptance Testing

•    Be on-site and partner with Defect Lead to manage day to day testing and monitor overall test execution progress during critical integration test cycles

•    Assist with validation activities for multiple projects in various phases: Validation Execution, Quality Maintenance, Training & Education and Health Care Compliance

•    Monitor use of IT Global Standard Operating Procedures (GSOPs) and application specific SOPs

•    Train and provision users on the Quality Testing tools (i.e. HP ALM)

•    Promote adherence to best practice tools & processes for testing and quality management

•    Assist in the compilation & presentation of the overall quality status to stakeholders

•    Facilitate & coordinate Quality Review meetings

•    Perform quality reviews of test results, defect analysis and test cases to ensure adherence to established quality standards

•    Prepare dashboards, reporting and metrics

•    Work with functional area application leads to investigate and verify effective solutions to process issues

•    Communicate / escalate issues as needed to program management.
